ProWave is a Windows application for viewing and analyzing COMTRADE fault and disturbance records from protection relays and digital fault recorders. It opens IEEE C37.111 records (1999 and 2013 revisions, ASCII and binary) from different manufacturers in one vendor-independent tool. Features include multi-tab comparison of records, multi-channel signal and timing alignment, and plot panels for analog current, analog voltage and digital signals. T0, T1 and T2 cursor markers show signal values, and phasor and harmonic plots show RMS, THD and phase angle at the T1 and T2 markers. A file browser filters to COMTRADE (.cfg) files. Under its license agreement, ProWave operates locally on the user's computer and does not intentionally transmit COMTRADE recordings to the vendor. It is free for personal and internal business use. It requires Windows 11 or higher with 16 GB of RAM.
