Cashbox is finance software for festival and event production companies. It keeps the budget, expenses, revenue and approvals of every event in one live record, so producers and finance teams can see each event’s result while it is still running, not weeks after it ends. Teams plan budgets by category and track actual spend against them as it happens. Artist fees and hire contracts can be recorded as commitments in instalments, so they count against the budget from the day they are signed. Event managers capture receipts on their phones, with optional AI that suggests the supplier, date, total and VAT, even without signal on site. Expenses above a chosen threshold go to an approval inbox that shows the remaining budget before anyone approves. Each line keeps its original currency and the exchange rate on the day it was entered, so past reports never change. Festivals that repeat are grouped as series, so editions can be compared side by side and next year’s budget can start from this year’s actual results. At month end or when an event closes, Cashbox exports a ZIP for the accountant with each line’s account and VAT codes and the invoice files attached. Data is stored in the EU, and Cashbox is available in seven languages.
