1. At a time where many software packages are bloated, buggy and slow, I find that OriginPro is totally stable and responsive. 2. I use it almost daily and have never had it crash. 3. Once you are used to the GUI (all software has a learning curve) it is a very efficient graphing/analysis program to work in. 4. I can have multiple instances of OriginLab open and move data, plot formats etc. between them without any crashes. 5. Customer support -- they answer your emails quickly. 6. Huge number of plot formats - pretty much everything you'll ever need for making publication quality plots. 7. Exports graphs as emf's that open in Illustrator perfectly. 8. I'm a C programmer at heart and love the ability to write C-like code (OriginC) as macros. 9. They offer inexpensive student licenses for the grad students in my lab.
