ORSOFT Manufacturing Workbench is an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software which can be used as an add-on to SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.
QC laboratories have limited capacities. So they can be a bottleneck in the overall production process in companies. Furthermore, the business processes inside SAP create inspection lots on short notice. In contrast, inspection lots are the basis for medium-term laboratory capacity requirements. So a reliable capacity forecast for QC Labs is essential for scheduling inspection orders. As a consequence, a solution for QC planning and scheduling has to understand the testing process as an integrated part of the whole supply chain. It should increase visibility and enable a midterm planning of all processes in the QC laboratories. ORSOFT LabScheduling fulfils all the the mentioned requirements. It uses the SAP S/4HANA cloud system as the single persistent database of the solution. All necessary master and transactional data is extracted directly from S/4HANA cloud via SAP Cloud Platform. Additionally, the planning results, such as scheduled inspection lots, are sent back to this system.
