Optrak is route optimisation software for distribution fleets running diesel, electric and alternative-fuel vehicles together. It builds daily delivery and collection routes against real driver shifts, vehicle limits, customer time windows and journey times that change through the day. Loading is checked while the route is built, so plans can physically be loaded and unloaded in order. Electric vehicle range is worked out from the physics of each route, with charging stops planned where needed. Every plan is kept, so cost and CO₂ can be compared by customer, route and scenario. Optrak is used in multi-temperature, bulk multi-compartment and lubricants distribution and by operators planning the move to electric HGVs.
