In my current organization, Asgard is just now decommissioned. Replaced with another tool GEMS. In Asgard tool, it was very easy to manage and silence any alerts to avoid unwanted email/alerts/notification when any activity is going on that particular server. Best part I liked is that very easy to create silence window for any servers. Suppose I am going to work on set of servers and during change, the servers might get rebooted multiple times and due to which alerts can be triggered multiple times. So to avoid such unwanted alerts, very easy to create silence window of the specific time frame. Just need to specify reason, time frame, asset name as hostname/servers. The silence window would be created for that particular time frame.
