NarcCount is controlled-substance reconciliation software for Canadian pharmacies. It replaces the paper count book with a periodic count: expected on-hand is computed per drug from recorded purchases, dispenses and destructions, discrepancies are flagged against the counted quantity, and each variance drills through to the transactions behind it. Counts are finalised through a two-person sign-off with a recorded witness, and every change is written to an append-only audit log with hash chaining, so a finalised reconciliation can be produced for a reviewer or an inspection. Loss and theft reports, destruction records and drug-level history are held against the same inventory. The software is built around Canadian requirements, including the six-month reconciliation interval and the rule that a perpetual-inventory figure does not substitute for a physical count. It supports the reconciliation process; it does not replace professional judgment or a pharmacy's regulatory obligations.
