Median is accounting and bookkeeping software for owner-led businesses and US startups, from Median Labs at medianfi.com. Bank, card, payroll and payment-processor accounts connect through standard integrations and map into a general ledger. Transactions are categorized and posted every business day rather than reconstructed at month end, and an assigned accountant reviews the exceptions the automation flags. On top of the ledger, Median produces financial statements and a configurable reporting dashboard covering profitability by client, product and person, spending against a margin target, period-over-period variance, and runway. Median runs as the system of record, or alongside an existing QuickBooks Online or Xero file at the same price. Pricing is metered on active financial accounts and transaction volume rather than seats or tiers. Engagements are month to month. Tax filing and R&D credit work are separately quoted.
