mbz2scorm converts a Moodle course backup (.mbz) into a SCORM 1.2 package that runs in any LMS that accepts SCORM, including Cornerstone, Docebo, TalentLMS, Canvas, D2L Brightspace and Workday Learning. Moodle can import SCORM but has no SCORM export; mbz2scorm works from the standard backup file Moodle already produces, with no plugin to install.
Pages, books, files, folders, links and quizzes are converted. Quizzes are marked as Moodle marks them, with the course's own pass mark, partial credit, question images and feedback, and the score is reported to the LMS. Video files are bundled into the package; YouTube and Vimeo embeds stay embedded. Every package is validated against the SCORM 1.2 specification.
Before any payment, the customer gets an activity-by-activity report of what converted, what lost something and what could not come across (forums, assignments and other activities that need a server), with the reason for each, and can play the whole finished course in a stand-in LMS.
Converting and previewing are free. Downloading costs $29 per course, $49 customised (course title, colour, activities left out, which quiz counts) or $19 per course in a batch of 2 to 10. There is no subscription and no per-learner fee. Uploaded backups and packages are deleted after 7 days.
Two free tools need no account: MBZ Check inspects a Moodle backup in the browser, and SCORM Preview plays any SCORM package the way an LMS would.
