Smarteaming is a staff scheduling and time tracking tool for businesses that run on shifts — restaurants, retail, healthcare and services.
Managers build weekly schedules on a table-based calendar where rows are employees and columns are days. Shifts can be assigned with drag and drop, recurring templates, or bulk edits. Conflict detection flags double-bookings before the schedule is published.
When a schedule is published, employees receive a notification and confirm or decline each shift from the mobile app. Managers see a live dashboard showing who confirmed, who declined, and who hasn't responded.
Employees clock in and out from their phone (iOS and Android) or from a shared tablet in time clock mode. The system compares actual hours to scheduled hours and calculates breaks, overtime, and 8 supplement rate types (day, night, weekend, holiday combinations).
Hours can be exported to Excel, PDF, or CSV for payroll. Overtime rules with custom thresholds and multipliers are applied automatically.
Employees can also request time off (with manager approval and leave balance tracking), submit their availability, request shift swaps, and generate personal invoices from the app.
Multi-location management is available for teams with more than one site.
Pricing is per scheduled employee per month (€1, €3, or €5 depending on the plan). Employees who are not scheduled in a given month are not charged. 90-day free trial, no credit card required.
