
MazeMap is an indoor mapping and wayfinding platform used by universities, hospitals, corporate campuses and venues in 30+ countries, with over 5 million monthly users. Core capabilities: interactive indoor maps, turn-by-turn indoor navigation, indoor positioning over existing Wi-Fi and BLE (Cisco Spaces, Juniper Mist, HPE Aruba), accessibility routing, timetable and room-booking integration (Ellucian, Outlook), asset visualisation and IoT overlays, space-usage analytics and heat maps, a map editor with CAD/BIM import, and a JavaScript API, REST API and mobile SDKs for embedding maps in any app. Founded in Trondheim, Norway in 2013 as a spin-out from NTNU. MazeMap Workplace (formerly thing-it) extends the platform with hot-desk booking, meeting-room booking for Microsoft 365, Outlook and Teams, parking management and occupancy analytics, with indoor navigation to the booked desk or room; ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, hosted in Germany. Customers include NTNU, University of Bradford, St. Olavs Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, ASML, BASF and Deloitte.
