MarkRelay is self-hosted email software that runs in the customer's own Cloudflare account. It is installed with a "Deploy to Cloudflare" button and runs on Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2 and Queues, receiving mail through Cloudflare Email Routing and sending through Cloudflare Email Sending. There is no server or database to operate, and updates are applied in one click.
The product includes:
- Team webmail for multiple domains and mailboxes, with per-mailbox access so each person sees only the mailboxes granted to them.
- An HTTP email API (OpenAPI 3.1) to send, list, read, reply to and forward email, plus HMAC-signed webhooks for every inbound message.
- Mailboxes for AI agents: an installable Agent Skill and API keys scoped to a single mailbox, usable from Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and Pi.
- A visual email template editor with ready-made SaaS templates.
- Broadcasts for newsletters, marketing and sales email (up to 10,000 recipients each), with scheduling, one-click unsubscribe headers and an automatic suppression list. Open and click tracking are off by default.
Messages, attachments and contacts are stored in the customer's own Cloudflare D1 database and R2 bucket; MarkRelay does not receive email content. Domains must use Cloudflare DNS (the Free plan works). Mail is used through the browser webmail and the API rather than desktop clients over IMAP.
Pricing is a license per Cloudflare account (Annual $99/year, Lifetime $249, Source $2,499), with no per-seat, per-domain or per-message fees. Cloudflare usage is billed separately by Cloudflare.
