Bientenu does one thing, bookings, and it is made for small restaurants.
Fewer no-shows. Take a card guarantee: the guest leaves a card on file and pays nothing if they arrive on time. Or take a deposit that comes off the bill. You choose one. Reminder emails go out automatically, guests cancel by clicking a link in the email, and the waiting list fills the table that frees up.
A steady kitchen. Set how many guests may arrive in each time slot. When a slot is full, it no longer shows online, so you are not hit by a wave at 8 p.m. If you add a phone booking over the limit, Bientenu warns you and you decide.
Tables planned for the whole evening. Online bookings are capped at your total seats, so you are never oversold online, and neighbouring square tables can be combined. In Bientenu's own simulation (about 125,000 simulated online bookings), there was no overselling. For a mid-sized restaurant of 15 to 20 tables, half as many guests were wrongly turned away. For a small bistro with mostly tables for two, combining tables added 5% to 15% to turnover. These are simulation results, not measurements from real restaurants.
Price: €30 + VAT a month, all-in. No modules, no commission, no charge per booking or guest, no minimum term. Stripe charges its own fees when you take a deposit or card guarantee. It is free until 31 December 2026; after that, new restaurants get a 30-day free trial and can stop at any time. Moving from another system? There is a switching offer: write to contact@bientenu.fr.
Your data is hosted in France, the terms include a GDPR Article 28 processing agreement, and you can export it yourself at any time. It runs in a web browser and on a tablet, with nothing to install. One account covers one restaurant.
