MailChannels Cloud is an outbound spam filter built for web hosts that protects IP reputation and ensures reliable email delivery.

MailChannels Email API is a transactional email service for developers. Applications send email in response to user actions — account verification, password resets, order confirmations, receipts, billing notices, and system alerts — by making an HTTP request to the API or by relaying through SMTP. Sends can also be triggered from other business applications through Zapier, or from AI agents. Messages are personalized per recipient using Mustache templates and a dynamic data payload, so a single API call can generate different content for each recipient. The API supports HTML and plain text content, attachments, custom headers, and open and click tracking through a customer-owned tracking domain. Delivery results are reported through webhooks and a metrics API. Webhook event types include delivered, hard bounce, soft bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, open, and click. Metrics endpoints return volume, delivery performance, engagement, and per-sender breakdowns. The service includes suppression list management, one-click unsubscribe handling with List-Unsubscribe headers, and managed DKIM signing and key rotation. Integration methods include a REST API with a published OpenAPI specification, SMTP relay, SDKs for Node.js, Python, and PHP, and mail drivers for Laravel and Symfony. The service is designed for applications that send on behalf of their own users, including multi-tenant SaaS products, hosting providers, workflow tools, and AI agents. Each customer, tenant, or agent can be provisioned as a sub-account with separate API credentials, SMTP passwords, sending limits, and reputation tracking. Sub-accounts can be throttled or suspended individually through the API, which limits the effect of an abusive or compromised sender on other senders in the same account. Pricing is free up to 3,000 emails per month, then volume-based from $10 per month.

MailChannels provides email security and email delivery infrastructure for companies whose customers send email. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, MailChannels serves web hosting providers, SaaS platforms, and developers building applications that send on behalf of many users, tenants, or AI agents. Its products are Outbound Filtering, an SMTP relay that blocks spam and abuse before it leaves a provider's network; Inbound Filtering, which protects hosted mailboxes from spam, phishing, and malware; and Email API, a transactional email service with per-sender isolation and reputation controls.
