Legal Hi Tech Document Management Suite (LHT DMS)
LHT DMS (Legal Hi Tech Document Management Suite) is desktop software for litigation lawyers, barristers, solicitors and their clerks, wherever they practise, with specific support for England and Wales and for Malaysia. It was built by a practising barrister. Among other things, it does two separate jobs.
First, it downloads the court file. It signs in to the court's e-filing portal with the lawyer's own credentials and downloads every document filed in his cases, his own and the other side's, into case folders on his own computer. It supports CE-File in England and Wales, and EFS and EKSS in Malaysia. Each document is named by its enclosure number or filing sequence, and its date. It is unlocked for highlighting and annotation, made text-searchable by OCR, and compressed. On later runs it adds only what is new.
Second, it prepares documents for filing and the hearing. It compiles PDF, Word and image files into one bookmarked, paginated court bundle that meets the court's e-filing requirements. It creates the bundle index in Word and updates it at a click, preserving the user's own content, formatting and styling. It writes the bundle page references into skeleton arguments, written submissions, witness statements and affidavits, and corrects them whenever the pagination changes. It replaces signed pages without disturbing pagination or bookmarks.
It also manages case folders (renaming, numbering and merging files), splits bundles into volumes to meet file size limits, and organises pages visually in bundles of thousands of pages.
These are some of its document management tools.
Everything runs on the lawyer's own computer. No document is uploaded to Legal Hi Tech or to any third party, and the software uses no generative AI. It runs on Windows 10 and 11 and on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 14 or later), in A4 or US Letter.
LHT DMS is free for all of 2026. From January 2027 it is sold as an annual licence per user.
