I have been using Sesame for the past ten years for replication, and during this time, I've come to appreciate several aspects of it. One of the standout features is its ability to reserve the soft deleted configurations, which we've implemented on OCI. This feature has proven to be very useful. I initially came across Sesame through research and case studies, and after considering a few other vendors, Sesame was our first choice due to its superior performance and cost efficiency metrics. Setting up Sesame was straightforward, thanks in large part to the helpful documentation. Additionally, the support has been very good, making the transition smooth. I find Sesame very easy to handle and administer, significantly more comfortable compared to other solutions. Unlike other vendors, Sesame does not require us to install agents, which simplifies the process considerably. Some of the features I find most useful include its ease of installation and use, bi-directional data transfer capabilities, and dynamic schema updates. Cost metrics are particularly appealing to me, especially when compared to Fivetran, which charges based on different source types. Overall, these attributes make Sesame a strong solution for our needs.
