Knack for Trades is quoting and job software built in New Zealand for electricians and security installers. On site, talk the job as you walk it. Knack drafts your voice notes into scope lines you review, edit and price. AI writes the first draft; you make every call. Upload the plan (or sketch one in the browser), mark it up, and the takeoff counts points and measures runs for you. Parts and labour build up from your own price book and recipes, with your cost, markup and gross profit on screen while the customer only ever sees a clean total. Send one link. Your customer sees a branded quote with selectable options, pins change requests on the drawing, and accepts online against a signed declaration, so what was agreed is a record, not a text message. After the yes, the job is on the schedule: book visits, assign the crew, take job sheets and forms onto site, and sign off before you leave the driveway. Electricians issue CoC and ESC certificates from the job's own data. Supplier invoices file against the job that earned them, and the invoice itself is raised in your Xero (New Zealand), never in Knack. Works in the browser and as iPhone and Android apps.
