JointLib is a browser-based platform for structural and geotechnical engineering, built in Romania. Engineers open it in a web browser and get finite element analysis, Eurocode design checks and calculation reports, with nothing to install. The site works in English and Romanian.
At its core is a finite element geotechnical solver for 2D plane strain and axisymmetric problems: staged excavations with walls, struts and anchors, dewatering, slopes, embankments, dams, tunnels and piles. It offers Mohr-Coulomb, Hardening Soil, HS-small, Soft Soil Creep and Modified Cam-Clay soil models, groundwater and flow, factor of safety by strength reduction and Eurocode 7 ultimate limit state checks with design approaches DA1 and DA3. Every run produces a Word calculation report. The solver is checked by 391 automated tests, 74 of them against published benchmarks, papers and a laboratory test, and the full list is public. A gallery of ready-to-run examples opens each model in one click.
Around the solver, JointLib designs isolated footings automatically (soil pressures with uplift, reinforcement, shear and punching, a Word report and DXF drawings), analyses steel connections read from Tekla models with finite elements and EN 1993-1-8 checks, and offers more than 70 free Eurocode calculators covering concrete, steel, timber, actions and geotechnics, each with a calculation report.
