Observability Tooling for a Serverless World

When running serverless workloads in production, the ability to view the health of running functions, in real time, becomes critical. But that alone is not enough. The need for monitoring (alerts) and the power to query across function invocations looking for key metrics becomes an essential capability. IOpipe provides all of this and more, delivered in a slick dashboard with simple configuration options. In addition, the level of customer service we’ve experienced from the IOpipe team has been outstanding. The entire team is always readily available on Slack for any questions or issues.

IOpipe--a necessity for DevOps teams

The transformation of DevOps from searching through logs to near real time observability provides insight to know how AWS and the underlying code is performing. Being able to quickly search on our custom labels and metrics allows us to determine if functions are operating at nominal levels. The alerting gives us the safety net to warn us if fault conditions surface.

What is IOpipe?

IOpipe was a monitoring and observability platform specifically designed for serverless applications, with a focus on AWS Lambda. It provided developers with real-time metrics, debugging tools, and alerts to analyze and optimize the performance of their serverless functions. IOpipe helped users gain insights into the execution of their code, identify bottlenecks, and ensure the smooth operation of serverless applications. Note that IOpipe has been acquired by New Relic, and its features have been integrated into the broader scope of New Relic's observability solutions.
