Kimiko is a private AI notepad for meetings and notes, for professionals who work on Apple silicon Macs and Windows 11 PCs.
During a call, Kimiko records the microphone and the computer's audio, so it works alongside Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and other call apps without adding a bot to the meeting. People write notes beside the live transcript, and their notes help shape the summary. Live speaker labels keep up to eight remote voices apart. After the call, Kimiko writes a summary and suggests next steps. The user keeps the tasks they want, and each task stays linked to its meeting.
Users can ask a question about one meeting, a project or their whole library, and follow the answer back to its source in the transcript. Dictation works in other apps' text fields with a shortcut. Summaries, notes and transcripts export to PDF, Word or Markdown, and Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook connections are optional.
Speech recognition and AI run on the user's computer by default, with no AI account needed. Notes are stored in an encrypted database on that computer, and meeting audio is not saved unless the user chooses to keep it for 7 or 30 days. Users who prefer cloud processing can connect Deepgram or ElevenLabs for speech, or OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter for AI, with their own account. Local processing still uses the internet for downloads, updates, activation and subscription checks.
Desktop AI apps such as Claude, Cursor and VS Code can read notes, meetings and tasks, and add or update tasks, through Kimiko's local MCP server, which is off until the user turns it on.
Kimiko is sold per license, monthly or annually, and one license works on up to three of the user's computers. A free trial runs for 14 days or 5 meetings, whichever lasts longer, and starts with the first recording.
