Most construction software is either built for big commercial contractors or it's a to do list with a calendar. HomeTakeOff sits in between, for builders and remodelers running a few jobs at a time.
Schedule: pick a custom home, kitchen or bathroom template, set a start date, and get a full Gantt schedule counted in workdays. Link tasks once, and when the pour slips two days, framing and everything after it moves too. Job site weather for the next 7 days shows right on the schedule.
Budget: every task has an estimate and an actual, and the difference shows by phase and project. Bring a budget in from CSV and take it back out whenever you want.
Sub Bids: send your trades one request with scope, plans and a due date. They answer from a link in their email without making an account. HomeTakeOff reminds them two days before the due date and on the day. Compare the bids side by side and award one, and the price goes into the budget.
Draws: set up your loan draws by phase, track line items and retainage, attach progress photos, and build a draw request PDF for the lender. HomeTakeOff only keeps the records and never handles money.
AI Assistant: ask "Am I on budget?" and get the real numbers, or ask it to push framing a week and confirm the change.
It's a young product, free during beta, and shaped by builder feedback. No homeowner portal or accounting hookups yet.
