Willem is an incredibly gifted interviewer. Being able to run a good interview requires a deep knowledge of our platform but also a deep knowledge of the space. Willem takes a ton of time to understand both. Not only is he great at interviewing, he is also amazing at keeping every valuable nugget organized and digestible from each interview.

Willem is a master at remaining neutral, which I believe sets the customer at ease to give honest feedback, even if it’s painful for us to hear. He was also able to get up to speed on our product and even our competitive landscape to have an in-depth conversation with a customer about our industry. By the time his project was nearing completion, we viewed him as a customer expert and even included him in many projects beyond just his customer research.

There are three things I really like about Growth Velocity. First is Willem’s consultative manner. He’s helped transform the questions or issues we're asking about into: what data should we be looking at, how should we ask the questions, and how should we structure the process for the best outcomes. Second, I really appreciate the insightfulness of the readouts in terms of understanding the patterns and implications of the data, as well as having detailed feedback. And third, his work has given us an independent outside-of-the-organization look at what's going on that eliminates any bias or defensiveness.
