BWT Built the High-Performance Data Backbone for Our Member Services

As a PM at a security focused company, I was most interested in security, scalability and actionability. BWT delivered on all three. Security was key in building their data pipeline, which their team had the expertise to accomplish. They developed a bespoke application for us that integrates in all our anonymised threat data, member metrics and research feedback into one governed solution. The strength of their work is in the ETL processes we built together that take raw data and convert that into structured insights for our research teams without revealing any member’s information. It remains today the core platform underpinning our leading benchmarking and best practices services.

Dependable access to difficult product data at scale

I am employed as a data engineer for a mid-sized e-commerce pricing analytics company (just over 50 in software) and my team and I track details about competitors’ products—from things like current price, stock on hand, or detailed specifications—on large online retailers. We utilize the information on a daily basis to create and tweak dynamic pricing models for our retail clients. BWT has worked well for us as it’s able to reach product data that is only available behind a logged-in account in the above platforms (we used to do this manually and it would take hours). The team had tested two other approaches before it developed its custom, monitor-the-monitor system that would automatically work with altered sites or increasing scale. Our data needs have increased month by month as new competitor sources has been added, and all of this while our system is stable and without the need for additional maintenance from our side. Your extracted data comes in a nice structured format that you can immediately dump into our internal analytics pipeline.
