GreenNotes is a practice management and electronic medical record (EMR) system for medical practices in South Africa. It runs as a web portal and as Android and iOS apps, all working on the same patient records.
Clinicians use it to keep patient files and record consultations, and to write clinical notes, letters and prescriptions. Consultations can be recorded and transcribed. The AI feature drafts a note or summary from the recording, and the clinician reviews it.
The billing module creates invoices, statements and receipts. It submits medical aid claims through MediKredit and matches medical aid payments using electronic remittance advice (ERA). Fees can be priced from Medprax tariffs.
Other features include an appointment calendar that syncs with Outlook and Google Calendar, online booking for patients, and digital intake and consent forms that patients sign. Appointment and account reminders go out by email, SMS and WhatsApp.
The platform is POPIA compliant.
