A great way to interview

We have used Byteboard for a number of positions. Having used several assessment tools, I haven't found one that simulates on-the-job performance nearly as well as Byteboard. Our team has also used Byteboard assessments for non-coding positions, such as a product manager. Candidates seem to enjoy the process more than other assessment tools. And for us, it's a great way to gague how a candidate will approach challenges in the wild.

Beautiful interview platform experience

I got interviewed for a Senior Software Engineer role and solved a task on a web application on Byteboard platform. The interviewing experience was seamless. Clean UI and flow. Hope more and more tech platforms use Byteboard for evaluating candidates.

Good for initial screens, but not specific enough and too many dropoffs

Byteboard makes it easier to get initial interview rounds through, since we don't need to have an engineer host the interview (and take time to write feedback).

What is Google Byteboard?

Google Byteboard is a technical assessment platform designed to streamline the hiring process for software engineers. Byteboard provides realistic, project-based assessments that evaluate technical and soft skills in a more comprehensive manner than traditional coding tests. It aims to create a fairer and more efficient hiring process by focusing on practical, on-the-job skills rather than the ability to solve abstract algorithm challenges. This allows companies to identify candidates who are truly job-ready.
