GIMP offers a user-friendly interface that is accessible even to beginners. Its open-source nature makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for graphic design software. I also appreciate the ability to import brushes from other programs and use them in GIMP, which is one of the main reasons I continue to rely on it for my graphic design work.
