Proofcan helps teams that create or publish AI-generated content label it in a way machines can read. It signs JPEG, PNG and WebP images with C2PA Content Credentials that declare the image as AI-generated, embeds an invisible TrustMark watermark, and keeps a verifiable record for each marked file.
Anyone can check an image for free at proofcan.com/verify. Developers can mark images in bulk through a REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 description. Video and audio marking is in closed beta in the API.
Proofcan also publishes sourced guides on the EU AI Act, the Article 50 transparency duties, the 2 December 2026 marking deadline and the AI labelling rules of platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Spotify — in English and German, with core AI Act guides in French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Dutch.
Proofcan is a compliance support tool, not legal advice. It does not add visible labels and does not mark text. C2PA conformance application in progress.
