Chickadee Bandit

0 reviews

Chickadee Bandit gives a volunteer-run organization one encrypted space for its business: dues and reserves, violations and architectural review, amenity bookings, secret-ballot elections, minutes, recruitment and attendance. One officer sponsors the space and everyone else joins free. When leadership changes hands, the record stays put. Full description Most self-managed associations, chapters and clubs run on the treasurer's spreadsheet, the secretary's inbox and whatever the last board left in a shared drive. Something gets lost at every handover. Chickadee Bandit gives the organization its own encrypted space, separate from every member's private household, with apps you pick from a catalog of more than 100: HOAs and neighborhood associations: dues tracked by billing period, with automatic allocation to reserve funds. Also violation notices with a per-unit trail, architectural review with written decisions, amenity and guest-parking bookings that can't be double-booked, a vehicle registry, maintenance requests, and governing documents with version history. Fraternities and sororities: a recruitment tracker with a secret bid vote that records who voted but never how, points and attendance, a member directory with pledge class and role, alumni profiles, house-duty shifts, a guest log, and sealed awards-night picks. Any group: announcements, polls, RSVPs, volunteer sign-ups, a forum, and officer elections by secret ballot (majority or ranked-choice) with a certified result. Minutes record each director's roll-call vote and are frozen once adopted. Pricing: one officer sponsors the space from their plan and members join free. The Family plan ($6/mo) covers one space of 8 people and 10 apps. Organization ($30/mo) covers three spaces of up to 20 people and 14 apps each, or a roster space of up to 200 members for announcements, attendance and RSVPs. The Community add-on ($30/yr) adds three more spaces and four more apps in each space. No ads, and a full data export on every plan. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web. What it isn't: it doesn't collect dues online, keep the books, bank, or report to a national headquarters. It's built for a board and its committees, an exec team, or a small building, not for a 100-home association where every owner needs a login.

What is Firebird Systems?

Instead of shipping one fixed dashboard with a giant checklist of features nobody fully uses, Chickadee Bandit works like an app platform. Your household starts as an empty private hub, and you install a small set of focused apps from a catalog of 100+: shared calendar and agenda, chores and routines, grocery lists and meal planning, tasks, notes and whiteboards, expense splitting, home maintenance, document library, pet and plant care, medication tracking, habits and streaks, photo albums, announcements, polls, and many more. Add what fits, remove what doesn't earn its place, and arrange the rest the way your people actually work. You decide what children, adults, guests, and admins can see or change, down to per-app permissions and row-level visibility. Kids see what applies to them; adult-only records stay adult-only. You can create a Space in a separate shared hub with its own members, apps, and permissions. Co-parents in two homes keep their private household hubs and join a Space for just the custody calendar, school details, expenses, and handoff notes. Adult siblings run a Space for a parent's care. A troop, carpool, neighborhood, or HOA gets announcements, events, volunteer shifts, board minutes, maintenance requests, amenity reservations, dues, and elections — without forcing everyone into one giant household. The isolation is enforced, not conventional: a Space cannot look inside a member's home hub, and a home hub cannot quietly pull data back out of a Space. Build the app you wish existed. Apps are web apps with a manifest declaring the data and capabilities they need. An admin can install a custom or private app from a bundle URL, so a developer, a local organization, or a technically curious family can build for a need the catalog never anticipated. Privacy is the architecture, not a policy page. Every household gets its own isolated, encrypted database rather than a shared table with a tenant column. There are no ads and no data sales.
