OpenAI Gym to me is the most popular platform for reinforcement learning research. And it has really been useful for me and my friends in our research activities.

Gym is a playground for AI agents to learn to perform their tasks with flexible classes and customization to improve accuracy more and more. I compare my reinforcement learning algorithms like DDPG, DQN, and PPO, while training Gym enhances my model abilities and trains my model on different algorithms and compares better-performing algorithms. Gym is open source and it has classes and modules and custom environments for specific needs and to simulate specialized tasks. Overall, Gym is a feature-rich and user-friendly toolkit.

One of the best advancements is its work with multiple algorithms written in any framework. Gym provides me the ability to test my algorithms on high levels of complexity and many types of tasks. Gym API provides an interface of environments to compare the performance of different RL algorithms.
