Fabdose helps product designers and hardware teams catch manufacturing issues before they reach a factory. Drop a STEP file, select the manufacturing process, and receive a detailed report in usually under a minute: flagged faces, specific defect types (undercuts, draft angles, hole depth ratios), and suggested fixes. Where it goes deepest is injection molding — the process where design mistakes cost the most (tooling revisions, lead time, mold re-cuts). CNC and sheet metal are supported for process comparison and flag common issues. Compared to sending a design to a factory for a DFM review: no wait for a quote response, no file sharing with a third party, results in about a minute. The geometry analysis runs locally; the CAD file is never uploaded. Available now as a desktop app on both macOS and Windows (Windows is in the Microsoft Store). Free tier: 5 analyses, no card.
