Earkeep is an always-on meeting transcriber for macOS. It captures mic and system audio continuously from launch, so there is no start button and no bot in the call. Transcription runs on your device with Whisper (99 languages) or Parakeet (25 European languages). Audio is transcribed in memory, never written to disk, and no meeting content leaves the machine.
Meetings are defined afterwards: select a span on the day's timeline and save it, or let a connected calendar (Google, Apple, Outlook, ICS) name it for you. The record is flat JSONL, one file per day, in a folder you pick, so grep still works in ten years.
Ten coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini) run in-app against the meeting you are viewing, and a read-only MCP server on loopback lets any MCP client search and read your meetings.
Pause capture, mark a calendar event never-record, or purge a stretch afterwards; a pause releases the microphone. €39 once per device, 14-day trial, no account. macOS 13+.
