I sometimes reccommend this to client who need a QR code
its in the name - dead simple. gets the job done simply. but it also has some nice features - for example, the tracking API. Although those are not so simple (as in it requires some knowledge)

I LOVE that it is simple, straight to the point, and targeted ads and pop-ups are out of the question. You don't need anything more to generate a QR code.
