Docking Buddy is dock scheduling and gate management software for cross-dock and transload facilities. It replaces spreadsheets, phone calls and email threads with one place to see every truck, dock and yard position.
Bookings come in from email, text, CSV upload or API, and a person reviews each request before it becomes a booking. The system recommends a dock, and your team can accept or change it. At the gate, staff record arrival, verify the driver, run an optional safety check and PO validation, then send the truck to a dock or to staging.
Each facility sets its own workflow, including who can assign docks, and six roles are built in: admin, facility manager, dispatcher, dock worker, gatekeeper and viewer. It fits a single-door site or a large multi-dock terminal.
Also included: yard map, driver self-service, carrier and customer portals, carrier scorecards, turnaround analytics, audit trails, an end-of-day report, and a REST API with signed webhooks. Flat monthly pricing from $179, with no per-truck or per-pallet fees.
