DHS Africa builds digital health systems for hospitals, clinics and health programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company is based in Munich and has its own teams in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Rwanda. Its main product is Meridian by DHS Africa, a hospital management system that runs reception, consultations, laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, stock, wards, theatre, maternity, billing, insurance claims and Ministry of Health reporting on one patient record. Meridian is certified by Kenya's Digital Health Agency (certificate CERT-2026-6R1C3Q8Z) and has SHA claims built in. Hospitals use it with mobile money, SMS, WhatsApp and USSD, and patients use their own app to book visits, see results and see a doctor by video. DHS also builds DHS Clinical AI, the first clinical AI system for Sub-Saharan Africa, developed with universities; Atlas, an intelligence layer for ministries of health; Meridian Pharmacy for pharmacies and pharmacy chains; and DHS Genesis for fertility centres. DHS systems run in many hospitals and are used by hundreds of clinicians every day. DHS won gold at the Digital Impact Awards Africa 2025 and is part of Hive Colab, Futurize and the German Accelerator. Meridian: https://meridian.dhs.africa
