The DAI-50 is an automated visual inspection system designed for pharmaceutical manufacturers inspecting injectable products. It combines automated material handling, multi-camera imaging, and machine-learning technology to identify particulate, cosmetic, and other visible defects. Unlike traditional rule-based systems, the DAI-50 learns the normal visual characteristics of acceptable products and flags units that fall outside that range. It can inspect a variety of container sizes and challenging product types, including clear liquids, suspensions, powders, and lyophilized products. Dabrico reports throughput of up to 90 units per minute, making the DAI-50 well suited for flexible, low-to-medium-volume pharmaceutical production.
