CrisisComms is cloud software that organizations use to prepare and run crisis communications. Users build a playbook for an incident type, such as a data breach, layoff, or leadership change, from a template or an imported PDF. The playbook is a branching set of questions and action steps that stores statements, owners, and messages for employees, executives, and the press. Team members edit the language and recipients in a shared workspace. Reviewers, including legal, approve or comment through an email link and do not need an account. In an incident, Crisis Mode opens a copy of the playbook as it stood when the incident started and records which steps were used. From a step, an operator can send SMS to employees who have opted in, send email, or copy the message for another channel. A step can require live clearance before a message is sent. The same path is used for scheduled practice drills. The workspace stores emergency contacts, incident history, and a post-incident summary.
