My favorite text editor for MacOSX
First got it for the name, as a The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan just needed to try it, but I keep it for the regexp search, python support, and overall good experience when dealing with files. I mostly edit network configs and do a python or bash script here and there when needed and the jokes about using the Sub-Etha communication network with my friends will never get old.

A lot better than the built in editor
It can be used in a collaborative way or not, has really good syntax highlighting for tasks like regular expressions. It's not cloud-integrated so if I want to keep my files on my computer and avoid mistakenly editing them on notes I don't have to worry about being synced and overwritten by mistake.
