Intakes is an inventory and cost-accounting application for small and growing businesses that buy, make and sell physical goods, including resellers, makers and small multi-person operations. It records purchases (including mixed-lot buys bought for one price) and spreads shipping, fees and other costs across the items received, so each item carries its own cost. It tracks stock either as individual units, with optional serial numbers, or as quantities by weight, length or count, across storage locations. For makers, it supports recipes and work orders that turn materials into finished goods and roll material and labor costs into each product. It connects to eBay and Etsy to bring in orders and listings along with their fees. Reports include profit and loss, profit by item, source and channel, inventory valuation, and a year-end summary of figures for tax preparation. It also covers returns, expenses and mileage, teams with roles and permissions, and a full change history. It runs in the browser and can be installed on a phone. Pricing is $49 per month per workspace, including 1,000 items and 300 sales, with a 90-day free trial.
