Timeplot is a DHTML-based AJAXy widget for plotting time series and overlay time-based events over them (with the same data formats that Timeline supports).
The City Form Lab has released a state-of-the-art toolbox for urban network analysis. As the first of its kind, the Centrality Tools this ArcGIS toolbox can be used to compute five types of graph analysis measures on spatial networks: Reach; Gravity; Betweenness; Closeness; and Straightness. Redundancy Redundancy Tools additionally calculate the Redundancy Index, Redundant Paths, and the Wayfinding Index.
City Form Lab is an academic research group affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The lab focuses on urban design research and the investigation of urban form dynamics to inform sustainable development practices in cities around the world. Through the use of advanced spatial analysis and quantitative methods, City Form Lab develops new tools and studies patterns how cities are structured and evolve. The lab's projects range from large-scale urban analytics and infrastructure to detailed architectural interventions. They work on diverse issues including urban morphology, sustainable city planning, transportation networks, and the socio-economic dynamics of urban environments. Their mission is to enhance the understanding of urban form variables that affect the environmental sustainability, economic viability, and quality of life in urban settings.
