Citehound checks whether the crawlers behind AI assistants can reach a website and whether its on-page signals give a model a reason to trust it. A free scan returns a 100-point score from 16 checks in three areas: discoverability (40 points), technical foundation (20) and content and trust (40), and tracks ten AI crawlers. The score measures readiness. Pro adds a separate citation check: ten buyer-style questions asked to Claude and ChatGPT, recording whether the brand is named (dated sample, one run each, API results can differ from the consumer apps).
Pro (early access) is a page-by-page whole-site report with prioritised fixes, weekly re-scans with email alerts when something regresses, and a monthly citation sample. Fix is done by Citehound: technical changes prepared or applied where access is given, rescanned, with before and after. Beyond adds researched questions, gap analysis and edited content the client approves. Also free: two-site comparison, schema, robots.txt and llms.txt generators, and a read-only MCP server.
