As a BIM consultant, I accompany various projects where digital models are already well established. Nevertheless, project communication is often a major source of uncertainty. In projects where Catenda is used as a CDE, models, documents, and issues are consolidated in one place and no longer lost in mailboxes and folder structures. As an OpenBIM-based CDE, it creates a neutral interface between the CAD working environment used and project communication. Models do not need to be extracted from the familiar authoring tool, and issues can be easily viewed and tracked independently of the software.
