LowRouter is a European AI gateway for agents and apps: one API key and one bill in euros for language models from many providers, European and international. You set routing rules per API key, such as EU-sovereign providers only, the cleanest electricity grid, the lowest price, or a mix. Every response reports the provider and region that served it, with an estimate of its carbon emissions.
Coding agents like OpenCode, Claude Code and Cline can use it as a custom provider, and so can apps built with LangChain or the OpenAI SDK. Aliases let you switch model or provider without changing code. In automatic mode, a failed request moves to another provider.
The model catalogue is public and free to search by sovereignty and carbon intensity. Tokens are billed at the providers' own prices with no per-token markup; a fee applies when you buy credits, and there's no subscription. LowRouter is run by Carbonifer SAS in Nantes, France.
