I really appreciate Canopy because it's an all-in-one platform that provides simplicity for our firm. It combines time and billing, file management, a client portal, and additional features like tax resolution and automation. The portal is much easier for us and our clients, allowing clients to see and pay invoices online instead of in person or over the phone. I find the recurring billing feature very helpful, as well as the organizational benefits from the files section. Though we haven't used the tax resolution and automation features yet, we're excited to try them. Overall, the transition from Practice CS is already showing huge differences in how Canopy will benefit us and our clients.

East set up for our clients. We can get all docs we need from and to the client using the portal. Pulling transcripts is very easy as it connects you to the IRS CAF Unit and give great reports. Shows when we can ask for a First Time Penalty Abatement - downloading transcripts is quick and convenient. We put them on weekly updates and with a click we are in the clients account and can see all tax liability and any info we need for our case and to make sure no action like levies or liens sneaks up on us. We set up task and subtasks and assign to different team members - reminders are set for cases and deadline dates. Billing is easy - and putting in time has timer or you can set the time. Invoicing is easy as well and can connect to QB. All team members can see what task needs to be completed and our clients can see any updates we add to the account. You can set different resolution cases and send client survey for the client to fill out for a financial analysis or any form you need to be filled out - it will pull all the info off the client survey and add to any form you work on. This save a lot of time. We love Canopy Tax!!! You should so make this a part of your SOP.
