Callro is Android call-blocking software that intercepts spam and scam calls using a proprietary screening system with layered analysis. Operating entirely on-device, it analyzes calls locally without uploading contacts, call logs, or audio data to external servers. Powered by the Gauntlet Engine, Callro verifies caller cryptographic signatures and analyzes call metadata, dialing patterns, and gateway anomalies while cross-referencing threat databases to block risks before the phone rings. It includes neighbor spoof detection to identify fake local area codes and matches them against FTC and FCC scam databases. Requiring only call screening permission, Callro never accesses contacts, call history, location, or messages. Calls from saved contacts and recently dialed numbers bypass screening automatically. Running silently in the background, it works on Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices with Android 10 and above but does not screen Google Voice calls or block text messages.
