C-CEX was a cryptocurrency exchange platform that offered users the ability to trade over 100 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and various altcoins. The platform provided a user-friendly interface designed to cater to both novice and experienced traders, facilitating seamless buying, selling, and exchanging of digital assets. C-CEX emphasized security by implementing two-factor authentication (2FA) and SSL encryption to protect user accounts and transactions. Additionally, the exchange offered low trading fees, fast transaction processing, and an API for automated trading strategies. However, it's important to note that C-CEX ceased operations on June 1, 2019, following reports of security breaches and operational issues. Users had previously reported frequent website outages, non-functioning wallets for certain altcoins, and delays in fund withdrawals. In September 2018, the platform was reportedly hacked, resulting in the theft of Dogecoin and Litecoin from client accounts. After these incidents, the platform's reputation deteriorated, user activity declined, and trading operations nearly stopped. Since the reorganization announcement, C-CEX has not resumed operations.
