Having used the software for estimating and job management, this reviewer finds it easy to learn and implement. They wish for a takeoff module, though a new one has been announced.

We build one product: SmarteBuild, estimating and construction management software for residential and small-commercial builders, and for the estimators and trades who price work for them. It was built the slow way — in consultation with more than 100 builders across Australia and in collaboration with teams from the Queensland University of Technology — because the way a job is priced, ordered and claimed here is not the way it is done elsewhere. Progress claims by contract stage, PC and PS allowances, GST and margin on the item, call-ups for subcontracted trades. We are a small team, which is the point: the people who answer the phone are the people who wrote the software. Support is by phone, email and live chat on Brisbane time. Files and job data are hosted in Australia.
