BrassOps is firearms training record software for police departments. It replaces the paper scorecards, the spreadsheet and the armory binder with one record of the whole program: qualifications, practice sessions, remedial training, range days, weapons and ammunition.
Scores are logged on the firing line from a phone, offline if the range has no signal. A failed qualification opens a remedial case on its own and tracks every attempt that follows. The instructor’s certification is checked against each session date. The standard each session was judged against, the course, the pass mark and the rounds, is stored on the record, so a later change to a course never rewrites an old result. Every edit is logged with who made it and when.
Command staff see readiness by weapon type at a glance. Range staff run the day from the same screen: check-in, safety checks, relays, forms signed on the phone, the after-action report. When a records request, an internal affairs review or a subpoena asks for one officer’s complete training file, it prints as a single packet, failed attempts included.
Built by a current range instructor. Each agency’s data is isolated, every user signs in with two-factor authentication. Annual subscription per department, scaled by sworn officers.
