Boomkeur is an app for tree safety inspections (in Dutch: boomveiligheidscontrole, BVC) using the Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) method. It is built for arborists, tree safety inspectors and the owners and managers of trees in the Netherlands.
At the tree, the inspector records the species, condition, defects per part of the tree (root collar, stem, crown), fungi and pests, the status (normal, attention tree, risk tree or fell) and the measure with a deadline. Inspections can also be spoken in rain mode. The tree is placed on the map on the PDOK aerial photo. The report with the company's own logo, signature and inspector certificate is ready as soon as the inspection is saved, and a project report puts all trees of a round in one PDF.
The owner or manager of the trees gets a client portal with the trees on the map, every report and the history of each tree, with reminders when a measure is due. Existing tree lists can be imported from Excel, QGIS and ArcGIS, with Dutch RD coordinates converted automatically. Data is stored in the EU (Sweden).
Boomkeur was built by an ETW-certified arborist who carries out tree safety inspections himself.
