PDMPublisher is a SOLIDWORKS add-in that automates the pre-release work engineers do by hand. From a dedicated CommandManager tab, it publishes PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP and eDrawings packages with your own naming and output paths, clones assemblies with their references, edits custom, configuration and cut-list properties across a whole assembly, and builds indented or flat BOMs with Excel import/export. ERP Sync pushes items and BOMs to Odoo, ERPNext or Business Central, and a built-in VBA macro editor can drive every tool. Conditional publishing rules and watermark/QR-code annotations are included. Works with or without SOLIDWORKS PDM, with an optional PDM task for server-side publishing. A free Community Edition and a 7-day full trial are available.

PDMShell is a command-line and workflow automation tool for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional. Admins and engineers run cleanup, validation, batch processing, workflow and data card tasks with short commands and reusable scripts instead of clicking through files one by one. It covers file operations (check in/out, rename, move, copy, delete, recover), batch actions on search results, reading and updating data card variables, revisions and BOMs, and driving SOLIDWORKS macros from a script. Scripts can be shared as templates, triggered from PDM workflow transitions and menus, or run on a schedule, and a visual editor lets you build them on a canvas. A built-in MCP server lets you run vault operations from Claude Desktop or Codex, with every command reviewed before it runs. Requires SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional. When a file reaches the state you choose, it exports drawings, models and documents to PDF, 3D PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, STL, eDrawings and more, then names, merges, stamps and files them using datacard variables. It can merge drawings into master PDFs with a table of contents and bookmarks, add datacard values, BOM quantities and watermarks to PDFs, export sheet metal to 1:1 flat-pattern DXF, and run on demand, on a schedule or from CSV batches. Conditions based on PDM variables, file names, folders and configurations control what gets published, and every output is logged with its version and source.
