AutoMauve is a vehicle check and defect reporting app for UK fleets running HGVs, vans and trailers. It is built for owner-run operators of roughly 5 to 50 vehicles, where the person checking the vehicle and the person deciding whether it goes out are rarely in the same place.
For drivers, the daily walkaround runs step by step on their phone and works without signal. Checks use DVSA-aligned question sets, or questions you write yourself. When an item fails, the driver adds a photo and a note and picks a severity, and it becomes a defect on that vehicle. Trailer and tail-lift inspections sit alongside the walkaround.
For managers, the web dashboard starts with exceptions: missed checks and open defects show first, with email alerts. Each report records the driver, vehicle, answers, times and signature. A dangerous defect marks the vehicle "Do not operate" until it has been put right. MOT, tax and insurance dates sit on the same dashboard, and you can run several sites with role-based access for staff.
Pricing starts at £1 per vehicle per week, or £14.99 a month for up to 7 vehicles. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial.
